Visit the tropical and little-traveled southern Myanmar. Start your trip with a visit to the Mon and Karen states in the southeast. Stroll through the old British port city of Moulmein (Mawlamyaing) , look at the end of the Burmese railway, see the world's largest reclining Buddha, and feast your eyes on the beautiful landscape with the Karst Mountains around Hpa'an. Via the famous Golden Rock Pagoda and the temple town of Bago you return to the capital, Yangon. You then fly farther to the west to explore the state of Rakhine (Arakhan). Cruise from the colorful port of Sittwe to the beautiful Mrauk U, arguably the most glamorous place in Myanmar. Visit the Chin people on the river Laymro and end the trip on the beach of Ngapali.It is possible to completely customize this journey to your wishes. Why not continue to the great Mergui Archipelago in southern Myanmar where you will find isolated tropical islands in the Andaman Sea.
