A walk around this deep blue lake makes you wonder about the beauty of the Himalayas. In Leh, Ladakh, you will visit several monasteries (Hemis & Thikse) and make a 2 days visit to the famous monasteries of Lamayuru and Alchi.Festival Tip:
In Ladakh every year there are several monastic festivals. In September there is also the Ladakh festival. At the monasteries the monks will dance the Cham dance, beautiful dressed and with mask on. And will tell a story about a Buddhist saint like Padmasambava. If you like to attend this, then we can see if a festival is possible to fit in your trip.
