Russia, more than just Moscow and St. Petersburg

Russia Travel Information | Russia Country Information

Russia is so huge that everyone can find something to one's taste and budget.
Saint Petersburg is, no doubt, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but remember Moscow! Travel along the Golden Ring around Moscow and you are in a fairytale world. By the Trans Siberian Railway you cross the whole country, with or without intermediate stops in cities like Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk or Irkutsk.
The largest country of the world has to offer more than just Moscow and St. Petersburg.
For the true pioneers there is still a lot to discover in the vasts of Russia. Pyala Travel has some wonderful trips to unknown areas as Kamchatka, Chukotka, Karelia, Tuva, Yakutia and Lake Baikal. Discover the vast Siberia and visit traditional nomads as Chukchi, Evenk, Koryak, Yakuts, Tuvan and other peoples, that wander around with their reindeers and cattle through harsh, but beautiful scenery. For example, travel to the Far East of Russia, the Chukotka region that you can explore by snowmobile or dog sledging. Meet local nomads and be amazed by the rich animal life; polar bears, walruses, seals, whales. What is more, be impressed by the volcanic landscape of Kamchatka. Whether you travel in the winter or summer, it is one of the most impressive wild nature on Earth. In the middle of Siberia, you can make beautiful trips to Lake Baikal or seek out reindeer nomads in Yakutia or go to the coldest place on Earth Oimyakon. Rather closer to home; visit Karelia: Russia's part of Scandinavia. Across Finland, easily accessible from Saint Petersburg. Visit old wooden churches and travel by sleigh through a magical winter landscape. Also very special are the trips to the so-called Sayan Ring in the Sayan mountains in the middle of Siberia. Here you travel through the regions Khakassia and Tuva. Look for the mysterious Tuva shamans and throat singers.
