Mrauk U is one of the most enchanting, but still one of the least-visited places in Myanmar. This temple complex is located in Arakhan State (Rakhine), on the border with Bangladesh. First, you will visit the colorful port of Sittwe, where you can enjoy life on the immense Kaladan River and see many traditional boats and sampans sailing. In the afternoon you arrive in Mrauk U, where you can spend the next few days visiting the many temples and enjoy the traditional village life. A boat trip on the Lay Mro River to the Chin villages is a must to meet the tattoo faced Chin tribes!You travel in small international groups (4 - 10 persons) Of course you can request a private tour as well.
