Two weeks in Mongolia visiting mountains, grasslands, monasteries and the Gobi Desert
On this trip through Mongolia you visit breathtaking mountains, vast grasslands and plains, the beautiful Terhiin Tsagaan and the impressive Gobi Desert. From Ulan Bator you will go to the secluded Amarbaysgalant Monastery. You will travel to Terhiin Tsagaan, one of the most beautiful areas of Mongolia where you can ride horses and yaks or walk by the lake. Next is a visit to the monasteries of Tuvkhun, Erdene Zuu and Ongi. In Bayanzag you will visit the famous “Flaming Cliffs” where dinosaur fossils and eggs have been found. You will also see the Bayanzag tree, an important tree whose roots are used as medicine. There is the chance to visit a camel farm where you can take a ride on a camel. Then you’ll head to the Gobi Desert and climb the highest sand dunes in Asia. Some dunes are up to 800 meters high. The next day you travel to the Yol Valley where you can see nomads, wild sheep, goats, bearded vultures and other exotic birds.Mongolia Classic Tour (16 days / 15 nights)
